"I'm learning to love my body again and all the stretch marks and wrinkles on my postpartum belly.

This body fought hard to give me my beautiful, smart and loving rainbow son.

Our journey was rough from the very beginning- morning sickness that lasted up until I went into labor, some pre-term contractions, labor that lasted 56 hours and consisted of contractions only in my back, losing so much blood after delivery that I needed two blood transfusions, and my son had a terrible latch in the beginning that caused bruising and bleeding until he was around 12 weeks old.

My body now might not be what society calls beautiful but it has successfully exclusively nourished my son for the first 6 months of his life, and is continuing to nourish and sustain him, and to me that is beautiful."
